Working with Psychosis

IFS & Compassion-Focused Therapy for distress related to psychosis

Have you ever felt curious about your experiences with psychosis? Have they ever felt meaningful—or supportive at times?

Many people are met with fear or misunderstanding when they share these experiences. Others experience them as distressing and overwhelming. Both are valid.

Our approach focuses on understanding psychosis as part of your experience—not all of who you are.

This work is about helping you explore voices, beliefs, and inner experiences with curiosity, while building a safer and more supportive relationship with yourself.

  • Explore voices and beliefs with curiosity

  • Reduce distress without dismissing meaning

  • Build a more supportive relationship with yourself

Areas of Practice

Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS is based on the idea that we all have different parts within us, each with its own thoughts, feelings, and protective roles. This approach helps you better understand those parts and build a connection with your core self.

Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)
CFT is an integrative approach that helps people work through distress, shame, and self-criticism by building inner strength, wisdom, and emotional support.

Systemic Family Therapy
This approach looks at how relationships, communication patterns, and family dynamics shape individual experiences, helping create stronger and more supportive connections.
